Owned and operated by Jeff Jacobs, Smart Signs, Inc. is a continuation of the legacy established by his father, John Jacobs, who over 40 years ago started the sign shop Jacobs Signs in Loves Park, IL.

Starting in his father's shop, Jeff has served Rockford and the surrounding areas with exceptional sign and lighting expertise for over 30 years.

Now expanded as Smart Signs, Inc., Jeff and company are able to offer the Rockford area his experience in traditional signage as well as new technologies offered in the fast moving world of sign design and installation.

Do you service neon signs?Yes! We are one of the last sign shops to service neon signs in-house. We repair both neon bar signs as well as neon building signs.

Do you charge for surveying/quotes?Nope. We won't charge you to survey your site or give you a quote.

Do you service and/or sell digital signs (Electrical Message Centers)?We sure do. We service all models and can provide quotes for new EMC's to match your needs.

What is your work distance radius?Our general rule is 50 miles. Please feel free to inquire if your request may be outside that range and we will see what we can do.
